A national survey asked Canadians what it means to be a Canadian citizen. The survey found that many Canadians agreed on important values.

Obeying the laws and paying taxes are important, but they’re not enough. All Canadians are embracing active participation in the community, simple acts of kindness, respect, openness, compromise and environmental stewardship.
